Terminal Freeze

Terminal Freeze by Lincoln Child

I read this book for the Monthly Key Word Challenge.  Key Word: Freeze

I really enjoy the novels written by Child and his writing partner, Douglas Preston.  This is the first novel I read written by Child alone.  I really enjoyed reading this.  It would make an exciting movie!

A team of scientists from a university in Massachusetts goes  to Mount Fear in Alaska to study global warming.  They are underwritten by a TV channel who owns rights to everything they find. Boy, do they find something, a possibly prehistoric cat.  The tv people come to "document" the thawing of the animal and that is when trouble begins.
A local Tunit tribe warn everyone to leave because they don't understand what is going to happen.  Of course no one listens to them.
