The Tea Rose By Jennifer Donnelly

I think I found this book through a group on Facebook, Historical & Time Slip Novels Book Club.
It qualifies for my Color Coded Reading Challenge: A book with "Red" or any shade of Red (Scarlet, Crimson, Burgundy, etc) in the title.

This is the first book in a trilogy which includes The Winter Rose and The Wild Rose.
The Story: Fiona Finnegan, a worker in a tea packing plant, is in love with Joe Bristow, who sells produce from his father's cart.  They both dream of having their own shop one day.  Joe gets a job with a big company in London.  He moves away from the Whitechapel section of London.  That is when Fiona's life seems to go downhill.  Through a series of terrible tragedies, she loses everyone in her family except her 5 year old brother.  They escape to America to live with their uncle.  That is when great things start to happen for Fiona, except she cannot forget her love for Joe!
