A Year on Ladybug Farm by Donna Ball

Cici, Lindsay, and Bridget want to change their lives.  Cici is getting further from her life as a real estate agent and more into her house flipping projects. Lindsay has always wanted time to paint.  Bridget's husband passed away and her house is too large for her.  Her children are grown.  Who is she supposed to take care of?
They look at a broken down mansion in the Shenandoah Mountains and fall in love with it.  They decide to buy it and make a contract with each other for a year. They decide to name the place Ladybug Farm because of all the ladybugs around them.  Amazing things happen like finding out they own sheep, grow a beautiful garden, and find wonderful friends.  They work on the house.  Just when they get ahead something happens like the septic system goes because of roots from a tree or a tree branch falls into the sun room.
This is the story of three women that wish to change their lives and how they persevere.

I really enjoyed this book.  I will be reading more about Ladybug Farm.  Donna Ball has written other books about the Farm.

I read this book for the Monthly Key Word Challenge.  Key Word: Farm.
