This is a pretty book filled with photos of Giada's family. I am sorry I do not care about that. I think the key word here is in the title California. Half of the recipes did not have photos. The only recipes that are close to the food we ate in Sicily are Caponata, Ligurian Fish Stew and Lemoncello Granita. Maybe there is a BIG difference between food in Rome and Sicily.
I think when you churn out a cookbook every couple of years you just get further from genuine recipes. This is not a cookbook I would buy or recommend.
