The Executive's Decision by Bernadette Marie

I got this book for free on amazon. Go to the author's site. There is a list of places you may get this book for free.
Regan is recovering mentally from something bad. She finally got it together enough to get a job as an executive assistant again. Her car won't start so she has to take the bus.  She accidentally falls on a man's lap on the bus. She thinks he's attractive. She tells him she is starting a new job today. They make a date for lunch. She gets to the office and is a bit angry that her new boss is no there. She has not met him yet. But she meets the man for lunch. She likes him. But she forgot to ask his name. Regan goes back to the office and guess who the new boss is? The woman she is replacing goes into labor. Regan and Zach do not get a chance to talk about the start of their day. Later, she tells him that she will not mix work and dating. But Zach has already decided he wants her.
Will they be come a couple? What happened to her in the past?

I liked this book. Regan punishes herself for something that happened that was not really her fault. She does not have enough faith in Zach until he almost forces her to believe in him. Telling the truth is always the best thing.

From the author:
Regan Keller fell in love with a wealthy and powerful man once. He was her boss. When that turbulent relationship ended, she swore she’d never again date someone she worked with. That was before she literally fell into her new boss’s lap.

Zachary Benson is the head of a successful empire and used to getting what he wants in the boardroom and outside of it – and what he wants is Regan Keller. He’s determined to convince Regan that even though he’s her boss, they can share a life together.

However, when Regan’s past threatens to destroy the architectural firm Zach has invested his entire career in, he has to make an executive decision whether to choose his business or fight for the woman he loves.
