The Bride Quartet Book One
Mackensie and her three friends always played wedding as children. One year her father gave her camera for her birthday and a photographer was born. Now the ladies are grown and together they run a business called Vows, a wedding business.
Mac is getting ready for a consultation and spilled coffee on her shirt. She throws the shirt in the wash and starts to get another when she hears a crash. A man has come in her studio and is stunned by the sight of her in a bra and bangs his head on a door jamb. It's Carter, a guy she knew from high school. His sister is getting married and using Vows.
Carter had a crush on Mac in high school. He asks her out and they begin to date. Mac falls for him but is hesitant because her parents are so screwed up, marrying and divorcing all the time.
They have their ups and downs in the relationship but Carter is patient and tells her he will wait until she is ready.
I loved this story. Carter and Mac are so cute together. This story is full of fun. I can't wait for the next one.
From the author:
The first book in the Bride Quartet—following the lives and loves of four friends who run Vows, a wedding-planning company. Wedding photographer Mackensie “Mac” Elliot is most at home behind the camera, but her focus is shattered moments before an important wedding rehearsal when she bumps into the bride-to-be’s brother…an encounter that has them both seeing stars.
A stable, safe English teacher, Carter Maguire is definitely not Mac’s type. But a casual fling might be just what she needs to take her mind off bridezillas. Of course, casual flings can turn into something more when you least expect it. And Mac will have to turn to her three best friends—and business partners—to see her way to her own happy ending.
