Kate is elected as President. Stone and Herbie go visit Eduardo who tells Stone that he is also in Kate's kitchen cabinet. He warns Stone to be careful. Everyone will be after him to get close to Kate. Then he gives Stone a briefcase for safe keeping. Later that day, he has a stroke and dies.
Mary Ann hires Stone to be the lawyer for the estate, not knowing that Eduardo already made arrangements for that. They find out that a majority of Eduardo's paintings are forgeries. How did that happen? Dolce is released from the convent now that her father is dead. What plans does she have for Stone? Stone helps out with a political problem - which is a great story line. All the usual characters are in this story.
