December’s mini challenge!

This is a combination spell/task challenge. You may choose to do the task, the spell out option, or a combination of both.

Challenge Rules:
The page limit requirement is 125 pages; however, participants are welcome to combine smaller books to reach the page limit. All books and formats are allowed (children's, manga, graphic novels, audiobooks, etc). Re-reads are fine - just be sure to re-read the entire book. When posting updates for your challenge, please include the following information: a link to the book title, the author's name, and the date you finished reading the book.

1. Twelfth Month of the Year:
December is the twelfth month of the year and has 31 days. Read a book published in December OR Read the last book in a series.

2. December 21, 2016:
It is the winter solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, where it is the shortest day of the year. In the Southern Hemisphere, it is the summer solstice and the longest day of the year.

3. Holly/Narcissus:
December has two flowers the Holly and Narcissus (paperwhite). The Holly has red berries while the paperwhite Narcissus that grows in winter is named for its color. Both flowers symbolize hope.

4. Zodiac Sign:
The zodiac signs for December are Sagittarius (through December 21st) and Capricorn (November 22nd, forward). The ruling planet of Sagittarius is Jupiter and Saturn is the ruling planet of Capricorn. 
Read a book that begins with the letter "J" or "S" OR Read a book where the authors first or last initial is a "J" or "S."
