 Duke Energy Building - the funky looking one

This gorgeous mural was downtown.  If it was sunny it would have been a better photo!

We drove to South Carolina on Saturday to look at some land.  Of course we had to drive right through downtown Charlotte to get there.  Somebody tell me what is up with these GPS directions!!  I got some photos of the buildings and Panther Stadium on the way back.

Spring Watch

All my daffodils are open now. Aren't they pretty! The grape hyacinths are starting to flower too!












Here's the pink hyacinth. I noticed after I took this photo that there is another flower growing. Cool!

No more snow, blue skies acomin'!

Little P at work with the snow shovel. You can see bare spots due to the winds whipping the snow around. I think it will be quite windy for the rest of the day. But some of the snow is melting.

About an hour after my first post, the King had to go out to feed the birds. He cleared a path on the deck. It was snowed over in no time. I think we got about 5 inches or so in a few hours.

Snow Snow Snow

Well, here it is. March is in like a lion! When I got up this morning at 6:50 am, there was hardly any snow on the ground.

You cannot see the road in the front of our house. No trucks have been around to clear since they closed the public schools this morning.

Look at the pile on our little table! All this in a little over 2 hours!

It is like 65 in Sicily! Wish we were there!

"Lovely" Weather

Well, guess what the weather is today? You got guess it! It's raining again! But at least it is in the 50's. Over the weekend it was cold and windy (no sun) and in the 20's.

Last week right after one of our storms blew by we had this beautiful sight!

I could not get the rainbow in the whole shot!
