I received my Italian passport in the mail! Yahoo! BUT it's in my maiden name. Italian women do not change their names like we do. After 24 years, I must use another name. I can't scribble my name without THINKING anymore.Remember how it was after you got married and you got to write Jane Smith instead of Jane Doe? It's gonna be weird!

they made you use your maiden name??? i didn't have to change mine back. i use my married name.
Germany is the same way. I kinda like the idea. Marriage doesn't change who you are, just who you're with.
But yay! I can't wait to read your new adventures in Italy.
