Christmas Runner Completed

I finished this runner well before Christmas but my husband had the camera at the shop and I forgot to take a photo when he brought it back.  I am happy about how it turned out. Just the right size for my table!  Hope y'all like it too!

In the background you can see my Christmas Cactus and my Christmas present - a tile lock Scrabble game!!

It had such beautiful blossoms!
My gram always had a Christmas Cactus.

Christmas Runner 2

I finally finished embroidering the snowmen.
I cut the snowman fabric and sewed the squares together.
I have 2 rows.

After I sewed the rows together.

Now I must decided what size to cut the
green fabric to surround this piece.

Christmas Table Runner

I decided that I need a Christmas table runner. In my tiny fabric stash I found 2 fabrics that will look good together.  One of the fabrics has a snowman on it.  I decided to embroider a snowman on muslin and design the runner around them.

I cut 6 inch squares from the muslin.
The snowman fabric was designed by Debbie Mumm.
I googled snowmen by Debbie Mumm and found one that looked like that fabric.
Then I enlarged the snowman until I got it the correct size for the square.

I have 3 snowmen squares finished.
Also shown the fabrics and the snowman design.

Quilt Show

Our church had a quilt show today. Little P and I each entered an item for it. Little P made me a hot pad for my birthday which is the item she entered. I made a fall table runner. We looked at all of the quilts shown there. They were are really nice. Some were old - like pre 1930 and some were new. There were all different styles: wholecloth quilts, patchwork, cross stitch, and applique. A few were machine quilted. There were baby quilts, full size, table runners and wall hangings.
Here are photos of what we entered.
